Khama To Discuss Future With Sundowns
WARRIORS playmaker Khama Billiat plans to discuss his future with his club Mamelodi Sundowns amid word that the dribbling wizard has attracted interest from abroad.
The 26-year-old Billiat who played a blinder for Zimbabwe in the 2-2 draw against Algeria in the Warriors opening Afcon tie, before fading away in the follow up games, insists he remains committed to the African champions.
The reigning PSL Footballer of the Season and runner-up in the Africa-based CAF Player of the Year category is reported to have attracted fresh interest from Europe.
Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe has made it clear he will not stand in the way of players moving overseas provided financial terms are agreeable.
Billiat will reassess his options on his return to Chloorkop from representing Zimbabwe at the African Nations Cup in Gabon.
"I will go back to my club since I am still contracted and committed to them, then we can talk about my future and we can see what they say about my future and if there is a way forward we can then decide," Billiat is quoted as saying by SuperSport.
The Warriors' AFCON campaign ended with a 4-2 defeat to Tunisia on Monday night, having lost 2-0 to Senegal and drawn 2-2 with Algeria in their previous Group B games
