
Khama in Africa's Team Of The Year
WARRIORS star Khama Billiat has been named in the Caf Team of the Year among the likes of Sadio Mane, Rihad Mahrez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of the Glo African football awards ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria on Thursday night.
Billiat has been shortlisted and is favourite to land the Caf Footballer of Year (African Based) ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns teammate Dennis Onyango and Rainford Kalaba of TP Mazembe.
Borussia Dortmund top notch striker Aubameyang will also be hoping to claim the Glo/Caf African Player of the Year for the second year in a row.
The Gabonese international had a prolific 2016 for the Bundesliga giants but also faces stiff competition from reigning English Premiership Player of the Year Mahrez and Senegal talisman Mane.
Billiat’s team Sundowns had three players on the Africa Best XI squad with Keagan Dolly and Onyango completing the trio.
Manchester United and Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly and Joyce of Lomalisa of DR Congo also made the finest eleven list.
