KAWASHU ANGLES FOR PLATINUM RETURN
Striker Makai “Jecha" Kawashu is angling for a return to FC Platinum when the mid- season transfer window opens in July. Kawashu who made his name at Monomotapa, has been training with Platinum for weeks and seems to be impressing coach Norman Mapeza as another trialist Ghanaian striker Abdul Fatah Zakaria, was released last week. Kawashu popularly known as Jecha, started his career at Platinum when the team was still in the lower divisions and recently was turning out for Botswana outfit Police XI.
“Kawashu our former player is undergoing trials together with a leftback Tawanda Musariri. A Ghanaian striker Zakaria was released after failing to impress. The two players are still on assessment and not yet signed. The team will make an announcement when the coach is satisfied with them or any player," said Chido Chizondo the club spokesperson.
If he makes the grade, Kawashu will be a direct replacement for Zambian Obrey Chirwa who joined Tanzanian side Young Africans.
