Karuru Stays Put At Amazulu Despite Interest From Europe

WARRIORS midfielder Ovidy Karuru has extended his stay at South African ABSA Premiership returnees Amazulu until 2019 despite interests from European teams, Kick Off has confirmed.

Karuru joined Amazulu earlier this year as a free agent when the club was campaigning in the National First Division after leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of 2015/16.

The 28-year-old former Masvingo United and Gunners player in Zimbabwe went on to score twice in 13 league appearances last term while he also skippered the Warriors to a fifth COSAFA Cup in July.

Reports also say some teams from Norway and Sweden are eyeing Karuru but the Zimbabwean star has committed himself to Cavin Johnson's side.
