Kaindu Targets Border Strikers For Redemption
Kelvin Kaindu will be targeting a win against basement side Border Strikers at Dulibadzimu stadium on Sunday to bring his season campaign back on track.
How Mine are hovering near the relegation zone after going for eight matches without a win. Their last win was back in May against Caps United when they were still on position four on the log but they have gone on to drop points since then to be on position 12 just above the teams in the red, an unfamiliar territory for Kaindu since his coaching in Zimbabwe.
" There was improvement in our game against Dynamos. We could start our moves from the back and there were no scary moments. Its a positive for us going into the match against Strikers. Of course its a tricky match but we are confident of a victory judging from the way we played against Dynamos and Harare City," said Kaindu.
A win will be a good redemption for Kaindu going into the second round of the campaign after a horrible start to the season by his standards. The Zambian had trailblazing starts to the campaign in his previous stints with Highlanders and Triangle where he reached the halfway mark in title contention.
However Border Strikers might be a potential banana skin as they handed Moses Chunga his first defeat with a shock win at Dulibadzimu.
