Kaindu Relishes DeMbare Clash
How Mine coach is relishing his side’s clash against Dynamos on Thursday as this could turn out to be the tonic that his team needed to turn the corner after a below par performance in the first half of the season.
Chikurupati were inconsistent in the first of the season, winning only four times and managing eight draws – the highest in the league thus far – but Kaindu is optimistic that the match against DeMbare could be the turning point.
“Playing against Dynamos is self motivating on its own to the players. It’s a grand occasion that everyone wants to stand up and be counted so I am assured that all the players will put up star performances.
“Dynamos are a big club and at this stage they will be fighting for honours so definitely the match will have high stakes which will work well in our favour,” said Kaindu.
Turning on to his team’s performance in which they are sixth from the bottom, Kaindu said the league position is not much of an issue as there is still a lot to play for in the second round of the season.
The Zambian expatriate still believes his team will finish in a respectable position at the end of the season.
“We have just been going through a prolonged bad patch but I am confident of a strong finish. If you look at the teams in the bottom half and the one occupying the fourth position, its only six points that separate us.
“So once we start picking up points, we will be back on track and rise up the ladder.”
How Mine drew 1-1 against basement side Border Strikers at the weekend after having ended an eight match winless streak in the reverse fixture in which they won 2-0 at Dulivhadzimu Stadium.
Dynamos and How Mine played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture, which was the beginning of a series of draws for Dynamos who went on to register back to back goalless draws against ZPC Kariba.
