
Kadewere Finishes Season On A High
Former Harare City forward Tino Kadewere finished the Swedish League season with a bang, scoring once and provided two assists as Djurgarden beat GIF Sundsvall 5-2 in their last league game.
Speaking to SportsZone from Sweden after the game Kadewere said it was nice to finish the season on a high.
"I feel great today after scoring in the last game of the season and played a big part for the team by assisting twice it’s really a great feeling.
“The season for me started really slow but after the summer break was enjoyable as I had a coach who liked to play football and really believed in me and started giving me chances, so It was a fantastic season for me and it’s good to end on a high note give me confidence coming to the next season."
The former Harare City starlet partnered Kenyan international Michael Olunga upfront combining well with Kadewere setting up Olunga to score Djurgarden’s first goal following up with another assist for the Kenyan as he completed his brace.
Olunga then turned provider for Kadewere to score the fourth for Djurgarden.
Kadewere, who is eyeing a place in the Warriors squad for AFCON 2017 finals in Gabon finished the season on five goals and is hoping to do more next season.
