Its Now Official...Mutuma Is Black And White
ITS now official.
Lanky former Dynamos forward Rodrick Mutuma has signed a one year renewable deal with Bulawayo giants Highlanders, ending weeks of speculation over his move.
Both club and his handlers confirmed the development which was brokered between the player’s handlers and club representatives, treasurer Donald Ndebele and acting chairman Modern Ngwenya.
The financial details were however not available but it is understood a benefactor offered to pay his signing on fee with the club undertaking to pay ‘a token of appreciation for the trust in us’.
Highlanders acting chairman Ngwenya told Sportszone on Tuesday night that Mutuma penned a one year deal.
“He is now our player on a year’s deal,” he said.
Mutuma’s manager and Bulawayo businessman Carlos Tawengwa, himself a card carrying Highlanders life member, also confirmed the state of affairs.
“Yes Mutuma is now a Highlanders player,” he said.
Ngwenya said the decision was unanimously done by the entire executive even though secretary general Emmett Ndlovu was physically not there as he is in South Africa on undisclosed business.
