CAPS UNITED could go four points clear at the top of the table if they beat Dynamos in the Harare Derby on Sunday after FC Platinum dropped two points at Mandava on Saturday afternoon.

FC Platinum were held to a 1-1 draw by Ngezi Platinum, a result that left them on 52 points and one behind Makepekepe who have a game in hand.

Kelvin Moyo put Pure Platinum Play ahead after 29 minutes but a spectacular drive by former DeMbare centre back Partson Jaure leveled matters in the 73rd minute.

Irate FC Platinum fans bayed for coach Norman Mapeza’s blood after the match as Pure Play Platinum failed to win for a second consecutive week.

Caps United host Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium Sunday afternoon knowing a double over their old rivals could push them closer to a league title that has eluded them for the past 11 years.

The Green Machine will be without top scorer Leonard Tsipa and winger Phineas Bhamusi who are both on suspension.

Lloyd Chitembwe will partner Dominic Chungwa with Simba Nhivi upfront while Abbas Amidu will play on the right of a diamond midfield.

Tafadzwa Rusike is fit and will slot to the left wing with Joel Ngodzo playing behind the strikers while Devon Chafa will anchor the midfield.

Roderick Mutuma could start for Dynamos but there are doubts over goalie Tatenda Mukuruva who missed a couple of training sessions during the week as he attended the courts  as State witness in the Limpopo gate trial.

Defensive stalwart Elisha Muroiwa is out through injury and his absence could be a blow for Dynamos who are now seeking to finish in the top four.

DeMbare are fifth on the log with 39 points, two behind fourth placed ZPC Kariba who fell 2-0 to Chicken Inn in Bulawayo on Saturday.
