It's A Platinum Title Race - Harrison
HARARE CITY coach Mark Harrison is convinced the race for the 2018 Premiership title will be between the two Platinum sides FC and Ngezi.
Harrison has transformed Harare City into a highly competitive side but the Briton has ruled out his team’s chances of winning the title.
Instead, he thinks log leaders Ngezi and second placed FC Platinum are better placed to win it.
“We are not going to win the league, we are not geared to win the league, we were relegated last season,” said Harrison.
“Our squad is not like Caps United or FC Platinum. To think we can win the league is over ambitious.
Personally, I think one of the two platinum teams will win the league, there’s no doubt about that,” reckons Harrison.
Sixth placed Harare City play Chicken Inn at Luveve on Saturday and Harrison thinks the odds are heavily staked against the Sunshine Boys.
“They (Chicken Inn) are ex champions, always in the championship mix so odds are staked against us.
“But we go there full of confidence, we want to go there and simply play our game. We will give them respect but not too much,” said Harrison.
“We just need to impose our game plan, that way we will give ourselves a chance.”
