It Gets More Dangerous For Caps United

DEFENDING champions Caps United have now gone for four games without a win and alarm bells are ringing louder in the green half of the city.

Saturday’s 2-3 defeat at the hands of Harare City at the refurbished Rufaro left Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe searching for answers.

"We made a lot of technical errors in the first half. I thought emotionally we were not in the game, quite a number of players are going. We came here expecting a better result," said Chitembwe.

Harare City opened the scores through Malvin Gaki in the 19th minute before United leveled and went ahead thanks to goals from substitutes John Zhuwawo and Dominic Chungwa.

With the game seemingly heading for a 2-1 victory for Caps United, all hell broke loose.

First it was Valentine Musarurwa in the 82nd minute and later Cabby Kamhapa in injury time, both scoring own goals that saw Makepekepe succumb to their third defeat in four games.

Makepekepe remain in the relegation zone with 14 points while Harare City pushed to 21 points after Saturday’s victory.

City coach Philani Ncube was ecstatic.

"I am happy with the win and my mission is to survive relegation," he said.
