I Want The League Title: Mangwiro
Tawurayi Mangwiro says he quit his post as the Zimbabwe Football Association's Technical Director for Triangle's head coach because he feels he has unfinished business on the bench.
Mangwiro who is one of the best qualified local coaches and also a CAF instructor feels his curriculum vitae is incomplete without a league title.
“I had to quit my job at Zifa because I still have some unfinished business on the bench. I am still to win the league title," said Mangwiro.
“I believe Triangle offers me the chance to do so. We have a good team which can challenge for honours. We have a pool of players who cannot be intimidated by any challenge and are ready to fight for honours. Triangle haven't been doing well the past two seasons despite the potential that they have, so have to put in some effort so that we realize our targets. This year we have to be high up there among the best teams in the league."
Mangwiro who has coached at Masvingo United, Monomotapa, CAPS United and Harare City has brought in former Hwange right back Tonisani Sibelo, Tarisai Rukanda formerly with FC Platinum, former Dynamos duo of Stephen Alimenda, Russell Madamombe and Benson Maglasi who was with Harare City. Mangwiro also has a new backroom staff which has Godfrey Tamirepi who assisted Saul Chaminuka at ZPC Kariba and Innocent Chogugudza a former Chapungu coach and also part of the Zifa High Performance Committee that has Sunday Chidzambwa, Moses Chunga and Rahman Gumbo.
Triangle played out a goalless draw away at Chapungu on Mangwiro's first game in charge.
