I Need To Preserve My Job: Masomere
Luke Masomere says he wants to safeguard his job at Border Strikers by beating CAPS United at Dulivhadzimu stadium on Sunday.
Masomere who has managed only one point in two matches since joining the Beitbridge based side said he is gunning for a win to preserve premiership football in the town for the community.
“I need employment, so are the players and all the stakeholders in the border town including the vendors. What I mean is I want to create employment for all the people in the border town including kids
“If we get relegated business will go down, I will no longer be employed because we will be relegated. I am therefore encouraging the whole community to come and rally behind us so that employment will be available in the town,” said Masomere.
“Caps United must know that I came here to work and prove a point. People all over Zimbabwe need to see the team being saved from the jaws of relegation by the Doctor of football. When I came here I knew the work that was ahead of me and I am going to accomplish it
“I am not crying because when I came here I knew the work which was ahead of me. I am going to get a positive result on Sunday afternoon,” added Masomere.
Border Strikers are at the basement of the log standing with 14 points and face an insurmountable task to catch up with the clubs that are in the safer zone of plus 25 points with only a few games before the end of the season.
