AS speculation mounts that he has been fired from Yadah FC, under fire coach Jairos Tapera has claimed that he is still in charge of the Prophet Walter Magaya owned team.

Tapera was missing on the bench when Yadah FC were clobbered 4-2 in Ngezi on Wednesday and was spotted watching Harare City against Shabanie Mine at Rufaro.

“I am still in charge of Yadah FC. I was not feeling well and that’s why I didn’t travel with the team.

“Why didn’t you call those who were in Mhondoro and ask them about my absence. They would have told you about my flu,” Tapera told SportsZone on Thursday.

Tapera has had a tricky relationship with his employers at Yadah FC and reports say that Magaya has lined up Highlanders coach Erol Akbay or Joey Antipas to take over the reins.
