Hwange Backtracks On Sianchali

HWANGE Football Club have developed cold feet over terminating slippery forward Newman Sianchali’s contract with the club on Thursday morning begging the player to resume training.

Sianchali had requested for a termination of his contract at the end of the season as Hwange had failed to meet its contractual obligations but the club instead decided to sever ties with the player, in total violation of Fifa statutes.

“The administrator Khumbulani Mbano held a meeting with me on Wednesday evening to ask me to reconsider but we did not agree and this morning (Thursday) he did the same and again I could not reconsider considering the way he chased me from the stadium on Tuesday,” said Sianchali.

On Tuesday, Sianchali was part of the squad that was waiting to be addressed by the officials following their industrial action over unpaid winning bonuses and signing on fees and before Mbano could address the players, he ordered Sianchali to leave as he was no longer a Hwange player.

Sianchali was scouted in Binga by suspended coach Nation Dube in 2014 and has been one of the key players in the Hwange frontline.
