HIGHLANDERS have decided to move along with technology by acquiring swipe machines for their members and patrons for easy of doing business and also in view of the prevailing cash crunch in the country.

The swipe machines will enable the Bulawayo giants’ supporters to purchase membership cards, club regalia as well as drinks at the club house.

“Obviously we are sponsored by the BancABC and we will make overtures for them to supply us with swipe machines. They have made machines available although we haven’t received them yet but we have been informed that our order has been met and we should have the machines erected by next week but if we  get them by this weekend the better,” said club executive officer Nhlanhla Dube.

There has been calls for the club to embrace technology and install swipe machines at its offices and club house and the club seems to have heeded the call.

A number of patrons have left the club house in a huff after failing to buy their favourite drinks because the club had no swipe machines like most bars in the city and in the process it deprived the club of potential revenue.
