Harare City March On As FC Platinum Secure A Point In Kariba

Harare City registered a second consecutive win beating Ngezi Platinum while FC Platinum salvaged a point from the jaws of defeat at ZPC Kariba and Bulawayo City bounced back with Tsholotsho shocking How Mine.

The Sunshine Boys carried over from their last week’s win over Bulawayo City albeit in another controversial manner with a slender 1-0 win over Ngezi Platinum at Rufaro Stadium who are now fast losing steam.

Edwin Madanhanga struck just before halftime with what proved to be the winner but Ngezi Platinum had two close calls for penalty turned down by referee Josiah Masimira.

At Nyamhunga in Kariba, Walter Musona earned log leaders FC Platinum a crucial point with a second half strike that cancelled out a first half goal from Tawanda Nyamandwe.

The point comes in hand as it takes the Platinum miners to 44, enough to keep CAPS United at bay should Makepekepe win against Triangle on Sunday.  The Zvishavane based side ended the match with 10 men after central defender Gift Bello was given his marching orders in the second half.

Relegation threatened Tsholotsho condemned How Mine to their second consecutive defeat with a 2-1 victory at Luveve stadium. How Mine lost 2-0 to Bosso last weekend and Nixon Gama and Thando Ncube carried the day with a goal in each half while Toto Banda pulled one back for Chikurupati in the dying stages of the game.

Xolisani ‘Scara’ Moyo returned from last week’s absence due to chicken pox ailment to get a silly red card for deliberate hand ball as Bulawayo City edged Mutare City 1-0 at Barbourfields stadium. Mkhululi Moyo got the only goal of the match on the stroke of halftime.
