
Harare City, HowMine Through To Chibuku Super Cup Final
Harare City edged Bulawayo City 1-0 in the first semi-final of the Chibuku Super Cup played at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
This means Harare City will be in their third final in four years since the tournament was re-introduced in 2014 and they are in line to clinch the cup for a second time following their triumph over Dynamos in 2015.
The Sunshine Boys will play How Mine who were 3-1 victors over Shabanie Mine in the other semi-final.
Martin Vengesayi scored the all-important goal for Harare City in the first half which Bulawayo City failed to overturn paving the way for the Sunshine Boys to contest their third final in four years.
In the second semi-final, Tinashe Makanda was the hero for How Mine following his brace in their 3-1 win over Shabanie Mine.
Kuda Musharu gave Chikurupati an early lead as he scored in the first minute setting up what finally ended as a comfortable win for How Mine.
Brunno Mtigo scored a consolation for Shabanie with a minute to full time.
Harare City and How Mine will contest the final in November and whoever wins will represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2018.
