
Hadebe Strikes As Zimbabwe Edge Zambia
ZIMBABWE beat Zambia 1-0 in a friendly match played at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
A goal from Teenage Hadebe was enough for the Warriors to sail past Chipolopolo.
Both coaches used local-based players as most foreign based internationals were involved in league matches for their respective clubs with the international break only opening on Monday.
Zimbabwe’s next match will be against Tanzania next weekend in a match he will fuse both the foreign based professionals and the locals.
Zambia, meanwhile, will next play Uganda on Tuesday in another friendly as they prepare for a crucial World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Limbe.
The Warriors dominated exchanges the entire game but it was Chipolopolo who nearly stole an early lead as Ronald Pfumbidzayi‘s poor clearance was hastily turned into a chance for Ronald Kapamba but Tatenda Mukuvura made amends by blocking Kapamba’s powerful strike from the edge of the area.
