Gutu Stuck In Zim

ARCHFORD Gutu is still stuck in Zimbabwe following delays with his visa and work permit.

Gutu joined IFK Vernamo and signed a season- long deal in November last year after a frustrating time with CAPS United.

The midfielder turned out for IFK Vernamo in 2015 (on loan from Kalmar FF) before returning to Zimbabwe and has been  waiting for his papers to be sorted before making his official return for the side to join his teammates.

Despite earlier assurance that he will get the permit last week, Gutu confirmed that he was still around and has been told to wait.

“They sent me a letter of regret, apologizing for the delay. I went to the embassy and was told to wait. It’s beyond my control. I just have to wait.  My workmates started preseason training on January 10 and I am nearly a month behind. I am following a training programme.

“I initially went to the embassy trying to apply for the visa but they told me that I need my permit first, “he said.

Gutu joined CAPS United after his return but was only visible in the opening six matches and struggled to command a place in the first XI, leaving him frustrated.
