Gutted Ncube To Try Another Day
Bulawayo City coach Try Ncube says his club must quickly brush aside the disappointment of narrowly losing to Harare City and focus on their next opponents.
Ncube whose side dominated the match with a determined display was disappointed at the end after Harare City got the winner from a disputable penalty, four minutes to fulltime.
Referee Thabani Bamala adjudged that Brian Chikwenya handled deliberately inside the box but television replays showed that the defender used his shoulder to block a shot from Ronald Chitiyo.
“It’s disappointing to lose under such circumstances but then at the end of the day there is nothing you can do because the referee’s decision is final. We had planned for three points and it looked like we were going to win the match until the dying stages were we defended too deep allowing them to get the equaliser,” said Ncube.
“We now have to focus on our next match against Mutare City, taking solace in the way we played in the first half. We have to build on that because we want to collect points in each of the remaining games.”
Amakhosi dominated the early exchanges with Harare City goalkeeper at his best to deny the visitors, especially the attacking duo of Trevor Ndlovu and Mkhululi Moyo.
Right back Morris Kadzola put Bulawayo City ahead after a fine swift counter attack but Ronald Chitiyo equalised with ten minutes remaining connecting a free kick from Munyaradzi Diro Nyenye.
William Manondo converted from the contentious free kick to give the Sunshine Boys the winner, with four minutes remaining.
