Going Down The Drain
Dynamos’ 2-0 defeat at home against Highlanders on Saturday marked exactly 27 weeks of Premiership football without scoring at home for Harare giants.
This season alone, Dynamos have not managed a home goal as they started their home games with a 0-0 draw against Triangle (Week 2) before a 1-0 loss to city rivals Caps United( Week 4). This was followed by a 1-0 loss to visiting FC Platinum (Week 6) and Highlanders only made it worse for Lloyd Mutasa’s side (Week 8) on Saturday.
The last time Dynamos were on target in a home game at Rufaro was on November 21 2016 when they beat Chapungu 2-0 with goals coming from Walter Mukanga in the first half and Takesure Chinyama’s second half strike.
This also means Dynamos have gone for 189 days without a home goal at Rufaro.
