Galloway Hints On Warriors Call Up

West Bromwich defender Brendan Zibusiso Galloway has given a hint that he is now ready to play for the Warriors.

Galloway who has snubbed Warriors call ups in the past giving a number of excuses, told Supersport that he is thrilled by the support that he is getting from his “home country Zimbabwe”, an indication that he might now be ready to play for the Warriors.

Galloway who is on loan at The Baggies from Everton has already won the hearts of the fans after playing two games for his new club is one of the many Europe based players targeted for Warriors call up ahead of the African Cup of Nations finals in Gabon next year.

“It’s really nice to have support from my home country Zimbabwe, they are a football mad country.  I really value the support they are giving me. There is still a big family there and they are sending messages of encouragement,” said Galloway.

The 20 year old Galloway who was born in Harare has been called by Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers but failed to honour up the calls.

He has also been called to play for the England U21.

However his sentiments and pride for his ‘home country’ hints that he is now ready to play for the Warriors and will be a big boost for Pasuwa ahead of the Gabon finals in January next year.

Galloway has in the past snubbed Warriors together with fellow England based Tendayi Darikwa of Burnley.
