Former Caps United Striker Takes Over At Mutare City

FORMER Tanganda and Caps United striker Joseph “Shabba” Tangaringofa has taken over the reins at newly promoted Mutare City.

Tangaringofa has been appointed on a one-year contract in line with ZIFA’s club licensing system, taking over from Kenny Kachara who led Mutare City into the Premiership.

Takaringofa is a CAF A Licence holder and was happy with his appointment.

“My task will not be to fight relegation though we want to survive relegation,” he said.

“Football is our job and we are always ready for the challenge,” added Takaringofa.

ZIFA on Thursday reiterated that they would not backtrack on their insistence on CAF Club Licensing in Zimbabwe.

The football association will not compromise on the coaching requirements, according to ZIFA’s spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela.
