FCP Ready To Defend Title

Reigning Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions FC Platinum say they are ready to defend their championship title.

The Zvishavane based premiership outfit was on fire last season after making history by being the first team outside Bulawayo and Harare to win the much-coveted title.

Pure platinum play also capped their fine season by winning the castle lager championship, a contest between winners of the League title and the Chibuku Super Cup – a knock out tournament that involves all PSL teams.

FC Platinum interim coach Lizwe Sweswe said his charges are geared for their title defence.

“We are more than ready to defend the championship. We know it will not be easy but as a team, we will do our best,” said Sweswe.

FC Platinum will lock horns with ZPC Kariba, CAPS United, Bulawayo City and Yadah in their first four games.
