FC Platinum Snatches Mhlanga

FC Platinum made arguably the biggest signing of the pre-season so far after snatching Warriors defender Lawrence Mhlanga from Chicken Inn on a three year contract.

Mhlanga who is one of the best center backs in the country, joined FC Platinum on Friday but financial details of his movement were not available.

“What I can only confirm is that we have signed Lawrence Mhlanga from Chicken Inn. He has signed a three year contract. As for the financial details and other things, I can't say at the moment," said FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo.

Mhlanga who was one of the unused players by sacked Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa at the just ended Total Africa Nations Cup Gabon 2017, will join the likes of Elvis Moyo, Kelvin Moyo and Nqobizitha Masuku whom he played alongside at the Bantu Rovers junior structures.

FC Platinum who finished second last season, their second best position since 2011,  have been very much active on the market bringing in rising midfielder Brett Amidu, striker Agrippa Murimba and Talent Chawapiwa. They lost midfielder Walter Musona who has been a vital player in the last two seasons to Polokwane City of South Africa. Wellington Kamudyariwa and Tarisai Rukanda were offloaded while striker Makai Kawashu will be loaned out.

The Zvishavane based side had a three week training camp in South Africa in which they played a friendly match against African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
