FC Platinum Keep Title Hopes Alive
FC Platinum kept their title hopes alive with a 2-1 win away to Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The win spurred the miners while putting brakes on Highlanders’ mini-revival winning.
Bosso had gone into the lead against the run of play through Simon Munawa in the 23rd minute when he reacted quickest to tap in his rebound. The visitors got back into the game through veteran striker Mkhokeli Dube’s equaliser in the 26th minute before substitute Ali Sadiki ensured the miners returned to Zvishavane with maximum points with a long-range grass cutter in the 78th minute
FC Platinum remained third on the table, tied on 56 points with second-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars who have a superior goal difference and they both trail log leaders Dynamos by a single point with six matches left in the current campaign.
