FC Platinum started the 2017 season on a positive note with a 1 nill win against Dynamos in a Castle Lager Premiership match at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Winston Mhango got the deciding goal of the match through a penalty seconds before the breather after new boy Gift Saunyama was alleged to have handled inside the box.

 Elsewhere, Prince Dube and Simon Munawa scored in the second half as Highlanders beat Bulawayo City 2-0. Rodreck Mutuma thought he had scored his first goal for Highlanders only for his effort to be ruled out for offside.

At Maglas Stadium, Shabanie Mine held defending champions CAPS United to a goalless draw. 

FC Platinum and Highlanders join four other teams Highlanders, Chicken Inn, ZPC Kariba and Ngezi Platinum who posted victories in the Premiership opening week.
