FC Platinum Establish Early Lead


Chicken Inn were brought down to earth, FC Platinum shot to the top while Black Rhinos registered their first win in Match Day 2 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League on Saturday.

FC Platinum beat Bantu Rovers 3-2 at Maglas to shoot to the top of the log but Chicken Inn fell 1-2 against bogey side Bulawayo City at Barbourfields.

Charles Sibanda and Rodwell Chinyengetere (brace) were on target for the platinum miners while Newman Sianchali and Bukhosi Sibanda, from the penalty spot scored for Bantu Rovers at Maglas.

Chicken Inn failed to build onto their 5-0 drubbing of Bantu Rovers last weekend as they fell to  Bulawayo City.

Bulawayo City scored through veteran striker Mkhokheli Dube and Kevin Madzongwe while Chicken Inn responded through substitute Thomas Kadyaridzire in a see-sawing Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.

Former Dynamos defender Sydney Linyama was on target for Black Rhinos as the army side registered their first win on their return to the Premiership.
