ZIMBABWE champions FC Platinum will play Deportivo 1 ero Agosto of Angola in the 2018 CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The first leg will be played in Angola before Pure Platinum Play hosts the return leg.

Should FC Platinum progress to the next stage, they will either Bidwest Wits or Pamplemousses of Mauritius who also clash in a preliminary tie.

Dates and venues of the preliminaries are yet to be advised by the Confederation of African Football.

The draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Interclubs 2018 was conducted on Wednesday, 13 December 2017, during the meeting of the CAF Interclubs Committee at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Fifty-nine (59) were engaged for the Total CAF Champions League 2018 and fifty-four (54) for the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2018.

Only eight federation did not engage their clubs namely Cape Verde, Chad, Eritrea, Namibia, Reunion, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone and Somalia.
