EPL Wrap: Zlatan Nets Twice

Manchester United eased past West Brom 2-0 at the Hawthorns in their Premier League clash on Saturday evening.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his mark early on in this game with a fifth minute header, before securing all three points with another well taken goal, this time with 56 minutes on the clock.

Stoke City threw away a two-goal lead against 10-man Leicester City to succumb to a 2-2 draw at the bet365 Stadium.

Jamie Vardy received a straight red for an apparent 'two-footed challenge', midway through the first half. Danny Simpson conceded a penalty on 39 minutes, for Bojan Krkic to slot home.

The Potters doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time, with Joe Allen grabbing his fifth goal of the campaign.

However, in the second-half the Foxes produced an incredible fight-back with Leonardo Ulloa and Daniel Amartey both scoring emphatic headers.

West Ham made it two wins from two as they secured a massive three points with their 1-0 defeat of Hull City at the London Stadium

Mark Noble netted the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on 76 minutes in a game where West Ham could have been a few goals down by half-time.

In a match of few chances, Middlesbrough made the most of what they had to thrash Swansea 3-0 at the Riverside Stadium.

The Boro definitely had the best of the chances in a fairly dire encounter with Swansea. They opened the scoring through Alvaro Negredo in the 18th minute before the Spanish striker made it 2-0 from the penalty spot 11 minutes later.

The afternoon got even better for the home fans after the break when Marten de Roon scored their third goal in the 58th minute to secure an emphatic victory.

Jordan Pickford and Adnan Januzaj starred as Sunderland held on to record a valuable 1-0 win against Watford.

Both teams had chances early but Nordin Amrabat went the closest when his volley forced a fine save from Jordan Pickford. The best chance of the first period then fell to Miguel Britos who saw his goal-bound header hit a teammate.

Patrick van Aanholt made it 1-0 after the break following great work from Adnan Januzaj and Jermaine Defoe saw the Dutch international score at the second attempt at the near post. Troy Deeney later missed Watford's best chance to equalise in the 73rd minute.
