Dynamos Should Not Score At BF - Akbay
Highlanders coach Erol Akbay has revealed that his game plan will revolve around stifling Dynamos’ attacking flair and make sure the Glamour Boys do not find the target at Barbourfields on Sunday.
The giants clash in a high profile Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter and the match is live of Supersport 9 at 3PM.
DeMbare have scored at BF against Bosso in their last five league matches in Bulawayo where they have usually dominated until last season’s 1-2 defeat which ended The Glamour Boys’ 10-year dominance over Tshilamoya.
Highlanders are also out for revenge having lost 2-3 on penalties against their bitter rivals in the Independence Cup final played at the National Sports on April 18.
“They (Dynamos) have a good attacking flair and that is why we have to focus on making sure they don’t score this weekend,” said Akbay.
“The boys are excited and we will do everything to make sure that we win. But with Dynamos you never know what to expect on the day.
“It’s always a very big match whenever Dynamos meet Highlanders. It’s not an easy game but we are ready for them.”
Bosso will miss top striker Prince Dube who is out through injury and Akbay will most likely partner former DeMbare hit man Roderick Mutuma with veteran Ralph Matema upfront.
“Of course, we do not have to cry that much over one player, but his injury, obviously was a big blow,” Akbay said.
