Dynamos Seeks Chibuku Redemption

Dynamos are seeking redemption in the Chibuku Super Cup after agonizingly losing out 2-1 to Harare City last season.

But the Harare giants would need to overcome bogey side How Mine in the first round of matches next week, something head Coach Lloyd Mutasa said it’s a must for them.

Dynamos failed to beat How Mine twice this season with all the matches ending in a goalless stalemate.

“We played How Mine twice this year and there was no winner. But this time around there must be a winner and that winner has to be us. We are taking this tournament very serious because there are a lot of things at stake,” said Mutasa.

“The monetary value, the ticket to play in the Confederations Cup and also to give something back to our fans for their continued support, even when things were not okay for us.

“So we are going to give our best shot for this cup also considering we lost in the final last season.”

Dynamos haven’t enjoyed much success in the Chibuku Super Cup exiting in the first round against Black Rhinos in 2014 and losing 2-1 to Harare City in the final in 2015.
