Dynamos Edge Thriller, Bosso Drops Points
Dynamos recorded a fifth straight league victory with a 4-3 win over Bulawayo City at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Clive Rupiya robbed Dynamos goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaungwa possession, as the keeper tried to dribble past the alert striker resulting in Bulawayo City taking an early lead in the first half but the lead only lasted a few minutes with Dembare equalizing through an Obey Mwerahari header from a Peace Makaha cross.
The goal gave Dembare players confidence as they started bossing the game and were rewarded in the 20th minute as they surged ahead through a Denver Mukamba well placed shot. Carlos Rusere picked Christian Epoupa with a throw-in deep in City’s territory with the striker laying the ball to Mukamba who picked his spot from inside the box.
Rupiya got his brace two minutes after the break punishing the Dynamos defence for a lapse in concentration to equalize for Bulawayo City setting up an entertaining second stanza.
Cameroonian Epoupa restored Dynamos lead in the 52nd minute and Lincolin Zvasiya got the fourth as Dynamos threatened to run over City. Bellington Damson scored Bulawayo City’s third eight minutes from time as the game ended 4-3 in favour of Dembare.
The result took Dynamos into fourth on the log with 26 points and if the verdict of the match against Chapungu is their favour they could move onto 29 points.
Elsewhere Highlanders were in a no score draw against How Mine at Barbourfields stadium while Black Rhinos suffered their first home defeat going down 2-1 to Harare City at Morris.
Tendai Mathe and Justine Kaunda were on target as Hwange beat Shabanie Mine 2-0 at the Colliery stadium.
Triangle edged ZPC Kariba 1-0 at Gibbo Stadium through a Dzingai Chirambamuriwo strike in the first half while Bantu Rovers suffered their 11th defeat of the season in a 0-1 loss to Chapungu at Luveve Stadium.
