Double Celebration For Muzokomba

Nichrut Veteran Striker, Jacob Muzokomba capped off a fine season on Saturday night after he was crowned the Central Soccer League (CSL) Soccer Star of the year and Top Goal Scorer for the 2017 season at an awards ceremony held in Shurugwi.

The former Dembare player scored 20 goals this season. 

Muzokomba said he was delighted after he was rewarded for his top-notch performance.

“I am very happy for having won these two accolades. Its every player’s dream to be awarded for their hard work and my dream has finally come true,” he said.

Former Chapungu gaffer, John Nyikadzino won coach of the year award after he guided Shurugwi based Nichrut into the premiership, while Sehlule Nyoni from Matabeleland South was crowned referee of the year.

Nichrut also received their shield for being CSL Champions while Tongogara also received the runners-up medals.

Goalkeeper of the year: Tafadzwa Javangwe
