DeMbare v Bosso For Heroes Celebrations

Harare soccer fans are set for a rare treat on Monday when the country's biggest clubs Dynamos and Highlanders clash at the National Sports as part of the Heroes Day Celebrations.

"The Zimbabwe football Association, in consultation with the Ministry of Sport and Recreation, advises the nation at large and the football family that thirty-one football matches will be played across the country as part of this year’s Heroes’ day commemorations.

"In that regard, all nine Premier Soccer League matches initially pencilled for 11 and 12 August have been rescheduled to a later date to accommodate the Heroes’ Day fixtures set to be played on the 14th of August.

"The selection of teams to partake in the celebrations comprises of PSL teams and division one teams from all four of ZIFA’s regional leagues.

"Harare is set to host the biggest football fixture in local football, a clash between Dynamos and Highlanders," advised ZIFA.

In other fixtures pitting PSL clubs only, Shabanie Mine and FC Platinum will clash in Zvishavane while Chicken Inn and Bulawayo City will play in Bulawayo. Chinhoyi will witness premier league action when Caps United and Ngezi Platinum descend on the Mashonaland capital.
