DeMbare Supporters Donate To Children's Home
Dynamos supporters took advantage of the mid-season break to show their charitable side by donating clothes and food to Makumbe Mission Children’s home, just outside Harare.
The club’s Harare Chapter Supporters Association chairman Thulani Ncube said he felt proud of his colleagues' act of benevolence.
“I’m pleased that we managed to raise groceries and clothes on our own in this harsh economic environment and we promise to come back in December this year with another donation.”
Minister of Sport and Recreation, Makhosini Hlongwane oversaw the donation and expressed gratitude to the supporters for the good gesture, saying that this will change the perception that football supporters are associated with hooliganism and violence.
“The Zimbabwe Government, as always, condemns hooliganism and violence in sport and we call upon you supporters to compliment this cause.
Hon Hlongwane added that supporters role as the twelfth player is crucial and loyalty to Dynamos Football Club is important.
