DeMbare Seek Revenge
DYNAMOS stand-in captain Ocean Mushure has thanked organisers of the Commander ZNA Charities Soccer Shield for a quick return of the Harare Derby that gives his team an opportunity to revenge their defeat to Caps United last season.
Caps United last year ended DeMbare’s dominance in the Harare Derby on their way to league honours with a 1 nil victory and a 3-all draw.
The pain is still fresh for DeMbare and Mushure said the ZNA Charities semi-final match between the two sides to be played on Sunday is an opportunity for DeMbare to revenge.
“We want to thank sponsors of this cup for organizing this match,” Mushure said at the launch of the $60 000 Cup at the army headquarters this afternoon.
“We failed to beat them last year and this is now an opportunity for us to revenge.
“No one wants to lose this match among us to an extent that even if we are asked to play for an empty container we will go all out for a win,” said Mushure.
While Caps United and Dynamos will be slugging it out at the National Sports, Highlanders and FC Platinum will be battling it out at Barbourfields in the other semifinal.
Winners of this year’s Shield will walk away with $12 000 while the runners-up will pocket $8 000.
