DeMbare Crumble In Mhondoro

THE signs were there when they held by Tsholotsho FC a fortnight ago and on Saturday Dynamos crumbled in Mhondoro where they lost 0-2 to new log leaders Ngezi Platinum at the Baobab.

Two quick second half goals from Qadr Amini in the 54th minute and Xolisani Moyo two minutes later did the damage for a compact Ngezi side.

Ngezi Platinum Stars are now tied on 60 points with FC Platinum but the Mhondoro side enjoy a better goal difference.

DeMbare slipped to third on 58 points.

The match was full of incident as Dynamos fans forced a stoppage in the 78th minute when they attacked Ngezi supporters before invading the pitch.

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa blamed Ngezi ball boys for some time wasting antics but remains hopeful.

“We have to focus on the remaining matches and see what happens,” said Mutasa.

Ndiraya is sensing blood and believes his team now has it firmly in their hands.

“There are still 12 points to play and it’s a good thing that we are now on top but we will need to keep working hard,” he said.

Elsewhere, Yadah FC remained mired in relegation mix after losing 0-1 to How Mine at Rufaro.

Yadah are still three points away from safety.
