Dembare Congratulate Sundowns

DYNAMOS football club has congratulated Mamelodi Sundowns for winning the CAF Champions League.

The Glamour Boys are the latest club to congratulate the Brazilians as the messages continue to pour from various clubs in South Africa and outside.

Dynamos president Keni Mubaiwa on Wednesday wrote to Mamelodi president Patrice Motsepe wishing Sundowns the best when they participate at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan this December.

“We write to congratulate you on wining the CAF Champions League.

“We were closely following the games and we had no doubt that you were going to be the champions.

“You have done the whole of Southern Africa proud and as your counterparts, all we can say is we are proud of you.

“Kindly allow us to take this opportunity to wish you success at the FIFA Club World tournament in Japan in December.

“The whole of Africa will be solidly be behind you,” wrote Mubaiwa.

Dynamos, is one of the successful teams in Africa having won 21 league titles.

However, success has eluded them in the Champions League. They reached the finals in 1998 but lost the ultimate prize to Asec Mimosas.

Mamelodi Sundowns enjoy a warm relationship with Zimbabwean football clubs with players constituting the largest number of foreign players playing in the ABSA Premiership.
