Deco's Promise
WARRIORS hardman Danny "Deco" Phiri says they will be up to the task against the highly rated Algerians on Sunday.
Zimbabwe are in group B of the 2017 AFCON finals in Gabon, a tough group that also has powerhouses Senegal and Tunisia.
Many analysts are not giving Zimbabwe a chance of winning a single game from the three matches.
"For us as a team we believe and everyone is up to the task. The fans should keep on supporting us and we are doing our best in every match that we play," said Deco.
Fears were that the Warriors would also find it difficult to play in the hot humid conditions.
"We are getting used to the conditions and we are getting there," he said.
Kalisto Pasuwa's charges are staying 60 km away from the stadium.
For that reason, they have been using the pitch near their hotel.
"The training facility is very convenient for us and it's good we don't have to travel the long distance for training.
"We will try to adjust. This is something huge and everyone is prepared to showcase what they can do. Everyone is ready for the game.
"We follow the coach's tactics so we are not really worried about the the stars that Algeria have," said Deco.
