The upcoming Manicaland Rugby Board (MRB) annual general meeting will shape the structure of the province and also touch on developmental issues, an official has said.

MRB chairman Josiah Borerwe confirmed the AGM which is set for Saturday at Mutare Sports Club.

“We (MRB) are having our AGM on Saturday, members of the board will be meeting to discuss, and raise major developmental issues of the game. The MRB AGM will be happening ahead of the Zimbabwe Rugby Union’s (ZRU) AGM,” said Borerwe.

“Manicaland has positioned itself as the leading and shining example in Zimbabwe rugby administration ahead of all provinces we have managed to come up with greater structures for the board not forgetting our aim to reclaim our glory in club rugby competitions as well.

“This year’s AGM will be focusing on selecting and deploying more PDOs to different districts as our area of influence in rugby has grown throughout the province. We are to discuss the annual budget for the board, to elect development officers to join ZRU, discuss on solutions of issues that will be raised by our affiliated pillars who are our referees, Mutare Sports Club, Mountain Lions Rugby Club, the coaches, the Sevens club teams, NAPH and NASH and women rugby.
