City To Benefit From Moyo Future Move

HARARE City will be entitled to a 20 percent fee for any future move that Blessing Moyo makes from South Africa’s Maritzburg United within the next two years. Moyo was unveiled on Tuesday as one of the new signings by the Team of Choice ahead of the new Absa Premier Soccer League season.

“The club will be entitled to receiving 20 percent as sale on should Moyo go to another club within the first two years of his three year contract and just 10 percent if he makes the move in the third and final year of his contract with Maritzburg,” read a statement from the Sunshine Boys.

The club’s secretary Matthew Marara confirmed that Moyo has been sold to the Absa Premiership side based in Pietemaritzburg for R500 000.

"We have agreed to release Moyo after the club (Maritzburg United) revised upwards their earlier asking price and as a club we have a policy of not standing in players' way. We are very happy to release him and set a few conditions for the sale at the price, whose conditions Maritzburg has agreed to.

"We would like to wish the player all the best in his new club and we hope we will continue to work well with him and the club as some of the conditions of sale require that," said Marara.

Moyo, who joined City from Dynamos at the beginning of the year, has been under the radar of few other South African clubs.
