City Make Light Work Of West Ham

Manchester City made the most of their chances to destroy West Ham United 4-0 at the Olympic Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Manchester City managed only four shots on target all match, but scored with every single one of them as Kevin de Bruyne (17'), David Silva (21'), Gabriel Jesus (39') and Yaya Toure (66') all got on the scoresheet to secure a big win for the Citizens.

City started the match strongly and were rewarded after just the 17 minute mark when Gabriel Jesus played a cutting throughball for De Bruyne and the Belgium international buried the chance to put the visitors 1-0 up.

Four minutes later, they compounded the Hammers woes, as Silva slid past his marker to create a one-on-one chance with Darren Randolph and he poked it past the Irish stopper to double the Citizens lead.

Aaron Cresswell wasted the hosts' best chance to get back in the game, flashing an easy chance well over the crossbar from close range.

He was made to pay for his error on the 39th minute when Raheem Sterling burst through and rounded the keeper with a slick move before square the ball for Jesus to finish into an empty net.

Things went from bad to worse for West Ham after the break when Jose Fonte was blown up for a late challenge in the box and Toure smashed the spot kick home to make it 4-0 and end any hopes the hosts may have had of mounting a fight back.
