Chiyangwa To Deposit Money Into Zvirekwi's Account
ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has pledged to support amputated Caps United skipper Hardlife Zvirekwi while legislator Keith Guzah has also promised to use his influence in Parliament to lobby support for the football star.
Zvirekwi’s left arm was amputated on Monday following injuries sustained in a horror crash in Harare in the early hours of Monday.
He is hospitalized at Harare’s Parirenyatwa Hospital.
And Chiyangwa, who visited Zvirekwi in the company of Guzah on Tuesday afternoon, has pledged to help the Caps United star.
“You have been captain of a big team and at one time you have been a successful captain of the national team and so I came here to say I will give you support.
“I would want your account details and I will deposit some money for use by your family,” said Chiyangwa.
Guzah also promised Zvirekwi he would use his role in Parliament to lobby support for the utility player.
“I also think from a parliamentary position that the Ministry itself (of sport, Arts and Recreation) can chip in to ensure that some of his problems are ameliorated and we will surely explore that,” Guzah said.
