Chivayo Considers Million Dollar Rugby Donation

After watching Zimbabwe Sables go down 27-34 to Uganda at the weekend and effectively being relegated from Group 1A, Harare businessman Wicknell Chivayo is considering a financial donation to help the game.

It’s a six zeros figure and as has become of his character, the youthful and controversially outspoken Chivayo brags about the donation he is looking at making describing it as “small”.

He adds that he was surprised to be treated as one of the VIPs at the Police Grounds by the Zimbabwe Rugby Union when in fact he wanted to enjoy the game in the ordinary terraces.

“I got to the Morris Depot grounds hoping to sit and watch the game but I was surprised to receive VIP treatment. Being rich gets annoying sometimes.

“I also want to sit with the public far from cameras and all the authorities....I'm confident after coming back from Gabon in January putting forward another small 1 million dollars donation for RUGBY is something I might definitely consider next year,” he wrote on one of his social media platforms.
