Chitembwe Not Fretting Over Tsipa’s Derby Absence
A grieving Lloyd Chitembwe, who is away in Honde Valley for a family bereavement, says the absence of Leonard Tsipa in the crucial derby against Dynamos at the National Sports stadium on Sunday will not take away the potency in his team.
Tsipa who is the leading scorer with 10 goals and winger Phineas Bamusi who has been impressive on the flanks are suspended for this weekend’s round of matches after picking up a third yellow card each away to Border Strikers last weekend.
But Chitembwe on Tuesday said since day one of the season he has never had a full complement so there would be no tears for the league’s leading goal scorer.
“We never had a full squad this season and we have been missing players through suspension and injuries.
“So it is not something new, we are mature enough to handle these kind of situations as have always been the case so we should survive,” he said.
Chitembwe believes the blow maybe on the players’ part as they are always eager to play a part for the team’s cause especially at this stage of the campaign.
“Tough luck to them. I know they would have wanted to contribute in this match,” he said.
The CAPS United gaffer, whose team shot to the top of the league standings over the weekend will only start his training on Thursday when he returns to Harare from the burial of his relative.
