
Chidzambwa Names 5 Foreign Based Stars In COSAFA Squad
Sunday Chidzambwa has named five foreign based players in his squad to represent Zimbabwe at the 2017 Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup in South Africa next week.
George Chigova, Ovidy Karuru, Eric Chipeta, Knox Mtizwa and Michelle Katsvairo headlines the 23-member squad that has experience and youth.
Chidzambwa has also cast his net wide to include Blessing Majarira who is the current top goal scorer in the ZIFA Nothern region Division One, while also including Shabanie Mine captain Nyasha Mpofu and Midfielder Collin Duwa also of Shabanie.
The Warriors are in group B alongside Mozambique, Madagascar and the Seychelles and they play Mozambique on the 26th, Madagascar on the 28th and Seychelles on the 30th of June.
Zimbabwe has to win the group in order to progress to the quarter finals.
