Chidzambwa In Sunday Litmus Test Against Another Of His Students
Sunday Chidzambwa will be in another test with one of his students on Sunday after failing against two others.
Chidzambwa who is considered by many as the godfather of coaching in the country squares up against Lloyd Mutasa one of his students he has fond memories of, in a must win encounter at Rufaro stadium.
Chidzambwa's team seems to be losing steam going down the last three consecutive matches to Highlanders, Ngezi Platinum and Harare City.
Ngezi and Harare City are coached by two of his former players Tonderai Ndiraya and Moses Chunga respectively.
Sunday’s game comes at a worse off situation for Chidzambwa as he meets a resurgent Dynamos. Dembare are unbeaten in the last six matches under Mutasa with whom Chidzambwa shared glory with in 1998 when they nearly conquered Africa losing in the African champions league final to ASEC Mimosas.
" Its just one of those games we are playing and as usual looking to do well. Its only that we have been going through a bad spell, something which is normal in football," said Chidzambwa.
Mutasa just like Chidzambwa, was diplomatic fearing to stoke flames ahead of the match saying it was one of those matches they have a reunion with their mentor.
" He made me and some of my colleagues who we are today. We have great respect for him but this is football we will just act normal and go for three points as usual," said Mutasa.
Dynamos will be welcoming back crowd favourite Denver Mukamba who finally received his reverse international clearance but are sweating over the availability of Ocean Mushure, Elisha Muroiwa and Obey Mwerahari.
ZPC Kariba will on the other hand be missing the duo of Tawanda Nyamandwe and Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe who have alternated the left back and left midfield attack positions.
The Kariba based side beat Dynamos in the ZNA Charity shield early this year courtesy of a Wisdom Mutasa strike. Mutasa has since left the Chidzambwa coached side to join his father at Dynamos.
