Chideu Scores On Arrows Debut
Thomas Chideu came off the bench to score in Golden Arrows 2-2 draw against Polokwane City on his debut on Saturday to ensure a draw for his team who remain unbeaten in the ABSA Premiership.
Chideu, who had replaced Lamola in the 76th minute, arrowed in an unstoppable shot from outside the box at the death scoring his first goal for the club and ensuring a point from the game.
Polokwane City had struck first in the seventh minute with a sweet free-kick by Jabulani Maluleke that curled onto the left upright and was turned in by former Arrows player Ramagalela. Both sides had been fighting hard to make a breakthrough and City gained an upper hand for a short time but another Zimbabwean, Knox Mutizwa equalised just four minutes later.
George Chigova’s Polokwane took the lead again in the 69th minute through Seabi but it was Chideu who ensured a share of the spoils with a goal in time added on.
The 20-year-old Chideu joined Arrows at the beginning of October after partying ways with Ajax Cape Town in August having failed to break into the Urban Warriors PSL team.
